Liliane Rukerankiko is a public servant at Global Affairs Canada. Recognized for her dynamism, generosity, and free spirit, she is a great traveler and a deeply committed woman, both professionally and in her community. As a mother of 21-year-old twins, she is seen by her sons as an ambitious, hardworking, and inspiring woman. She has instilled in them a love for gastronomy and a taste for discovery, while embodying a model of resilience and success. Very sociable and active, she knows her city inside out and participates enthusiastically in cultural and social life.

Lily is heavily involved in various humanitarian causes. She dedicates time and energy to initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable families, sick children, disaster victims, as well as veterans and the homeless. Her volunteer vocation is expressed daily, with remarkable availability and constant commitment, regardless of the time or place.

She also sits on the SOS Outaouais committee, which advocates for better funding and improved healthcare in hospitals in the Outaouais region.

Concerned about the importance of a balance between professional, social, and family life, she has chosen to engage with the Red Dress Gala for the last ten years. Personally affected by the ravages of strokes and aware of health issues, she actively advocates for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in women. 

A survivor of the Rwandan genocide, Liliane Rukerankiko has managed to turn her story into a mobilizing force. A woman of heart and convictions, she works every day to build a better future for her community and inspires deep respect through her journey.
